Wood Furniture refinishing / sealing?

I was given have a Duncan Phyfe style Dining Room table that is Mahogany (not veneer) solid wood, approximately 70 y/o. We use this set as our everyday table. It gets a white water stain immediately whenever any water touches the table even if I dry it right away. I have used Howard’s Restore-A-Finish which removes the white marks but how do I seal the table so this doesn’t happen. We would like to be able to use the table without being so careful and paranoid of drips every meal. I would prefer not to have to completely refinish the table. Also, I want to make sure I don’t use a product that will ruin the finish.

My best advice is not to mess with it. The only alternative is to refinish the table. This will destroy any future value for collectors.
Use lined table cloths, and table runners. I know….If you can’t see the mahogany…Use runners between large meals, and the lined tablecloth for messier meals.
