How could I slipcover a leather chair and keep the fabric from slipping around on the leather?
One chair is a leather wingback with tufting( I would like to eliminate the the tufting). The other chair has wooden arms and a leather seat.
If you want to give your leather furniture a new image by fitting a fabric slipcover, it’s a good idea to fix some inexpensive foam batting underneath the slipcover to stop if from slipping on the leather surface. Foam batting is available from most craft stores. Also for a sofa, take a long pole, like from an old broom, and tuck it in the LONG way, (over the sofa cover), between the seat cushings and the back of the sofa. The further behind and down you can get it the better. This keeps your sofa cover from “scooting” down to the floor. Does this make sense? And finally roll up magazines and tuck it down into the folds
