Do you see your heritage backgrounds in your children?
Last question for today
When you look at your child, can you right off the bat say “Wow Sally looks German/Irish/Japanese/etc.?”
I know looking my kids I see the definite Cherokee and Sicilian blood in them. I also see the Scotch Irish from my husband. My son has this olive complexion and dark brown eyes and looks very Native American whereas my daughter has dark curly hair, blue eyes and porcelain skin. She looks like a little doll, lol.
Do you see your heritage in your kids when you look at them?
My son has blond hair, blue eyes, and adorable high cheekbones. His ethnicity is quite obvious to anyone who sees him!

Japanese Name $103.56 Japanese names in modern times usually consist of a family name (surname), followed by a given name. This order is common in countries that have long been part of the Sinosphere, including among the Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Japanese cultures. Middle names are not generally used. Japanese names are usually written in kanji, which are characters of usually Chinese origin in Japanese pronunciation. The kanji for a name may have a variety of possible Japanese pronunciations, but parents might use hiragana or katakana when giving a birth name to their newborn child. Names written in hiragana or katakana dont really bear a meaning, in contrast to given names expressed in kanji. Old Japanese $98.77 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Old Japanese is the oldest attested stage of the Japanese language. This stage in the development of Japanese is still actively studied and debated, and key Old Japanese texts, such as the Many sh, remain obscure in places. Linguistic changes are gradual, and the periodization of Japanese is both delicate and controversial, with multiple competing methods and criteria for division. For both practical and conventional reasons, these divisions often correlate to political events. As such, the accepted upper bound (end date) for Old Japanese is 794 A.D., when the capital Heij ky moved to Heianky . However, it is difficult to fix a lower bound. A limited number of Japanese words, mostly personal names and place names, are recorded phonetically in ancient Chinese texts such as the Wei Zhi portion of the Sanguo Zhi (3rd century CE). Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 128 Publication Date: 2011/02/26 Language: English Dimensions: 5.98 x 9.02 x 0.30 inches |

Japanese Cuisine $68.51 The modern term Japanese cuisine means traditionalstyle Japanese food, similar to what already existed before the end of national seclusion in 1868. In a broader sense of the word, it could also include foods whose ingredients or cooking methods were subsequently introduced from abroad, but which have been developed by Japanese who made them their own. Japanese cuisine is known for its emphasis on seasonality of food quality of ingredients and presentation. Japanese cuisine has developed over the centuries as a result of many political and social changes. The cuisine eventually changed with the advent of the Medieval age which ushered in a shedding of elitism with the age of shogun rule. In the early modern era massive changes took place that introduced nonJapanese cultures, most notably Western culture, to Japan. Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 72 Publication Date: 2010/06/01 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.00 x 0.17 inches |

Japanese Punctuation $68.51 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Japanese punctuation includes various written marks (besides characters and numbers), which differ from those found in European languages, as well as some not used in formal Japanese writing but frequently found in more casual writing, such as exclamation and question marks. Japanese can be written horizontally or vertically, and some punctuation marks adapt to this change in direction. Parentheses, curved brackets, square quotation marks, ellipses, dashes, and swung dashes are rotated clockwise 90 when used in vertical text (see diagram). Japanese punctuation marks are usually full width (that is, occupying an area that is the same as the surrounding characters), whereas European punctuation marks are half width. Punctuation began to be used in Japanese when translations from European languages became common in the 19th century.
