"I can drill a small hole in a cast iron skillet?

the loop on a small wood stove was lost. the screws on the buckle bends or perhaps the metal of the stove itself. If I can not get new screws to secure the catch is to penetrate the metal and set with a little crazy and bolts of an option by the existing screw holes. This may mean punching out 3 mm of iron leaving the lock. would be a risk of breaking the metal? other suggestions?

If you are going to break the cast iron, you need a bit of titanium, a punch and a hammer rock. What you need to do is find the place you want your hole, place the tip of the punch in this place, and strike back with the sledgehammer punch of a farm. It will be a small gap called a pilot hole. Then you'll need this exercise, and of course a drill. Put the tip of the bit, and that the angle of the drill is perfectly straight. Make sure the drill is the drill and start very slow speed. Once the short turn, it will sink in the law and break the metal. Once you have drilled all the way, reverse the direction of the drill motor and back all right.
