what does my dream mean?
so i have a crush on the fregin exchange student at school. he’s from germany with blonde shaggy hair, gorgeous blue eyes, and he’s 17 and on the swim team. i never talk to him, i’m to shy and some of my friends and my sisters boyfriend are friends with him too. i know i don’t know much about him, but i feel like i do…he’s just amazing. i’ve been to a few swim meets to see him in a bathing suit, it took my breath away.
so last night i had a dream my friend and i were at a swim meet and he was in the pool and then we jumped in and my friend was in the middle of me and my crush holding our hands and we started swimming to the little end and my friend kind of dragged me under and it felt scary. then we were talking to my crush, then he started swimming with me and he said we were going under, and counted to 3 and we went under and his arms were around me, and i felt so safe. then we came up and did it again, and it was amazing and all i could think was, “his arms are around me!”
You didn’t specify if your friend was a girl or a guy. Your friend dragging you under may mean that they’re being an obstacle for you in getting what you want. It could be because you’ve only “gotten to know” your crush through your friends, so they have more power over you in the “relationship”. Or if it’s a female friend, you may be jealous that she knows him better.
Feeling safe while going under with your crush seems to mean that you want to get to know him without your friends’ help which might be easier in a private setting (underwater where no one can see) because you’re shy and possibly afraid of public ridicule or rejection. His arms around you is obviously your desire for him to have the same feelings about you.
I think the best thing for you to do is to take a deep breath, go up to him, say “HI!” and introduce yourself. Tell him you like swimming and ask him questions about it.
