HOW CAN I GET AN EXHIBITION help please?
Alright so heres the deal. I live in central Arkansas and I am an artist. Really I have an exhibition at the gallery soon. but, alas, the galleries, there is very little here, and so here is different from my style of art, and I know that would't represent me (our artistic community is terrible, mostly composed of elderly landscape painting and flower arrangement)! done with any gallery is out of the question, what other ways can I show my art? if you please help?
You can approach a cafe, bank, restaurant, bookstore, library, office, or a music club and whether it presents a selection of his work for a month or two. This is a great way to build a resume a personal exhibitions. Start by using your contacts – know someone who works at one of these places. Professional title when approaching the owners and keep a portfolio with samples of their best work. If that fails, simply thank them politely for their time and move to another location. I'm sure you'll find a place that is happy to show your work and is a good start. You can apply more galleries after exposure. Good luck.
