Custom Dog Figurine?

I want to get my dad a custom dog figurine for his birthday of his dog. He is a mutt (Aussie/Jack Russell mix) so there’s no way I can find one already made. I’m not lookig for anything too large, and not looking to spend over $100. Any information would be great. Thanks

think about how much time it would cost an artist to make something like this and what the hourly rate they would earn would be (and don’t forget they have to pay their own health insurance). I don’t think you’d find that $100 buy you enough time and material for a well done figurine. You might find somebody making a small drawing for you for that money though. Drawing is faster and the materials are cheaper.
If you have an art school close by you could ask students. Look to see their portfolio so you know you like their style. You could also go to some local galleries and art exhibition and look if you like the style of a local artist and then talk to them.
