I’m taking a pre-college art course and they want me to bring in a portfolio?
I’m taking a pre-college art course at the school of the museum of fine arts on saturdays and they want me to bring in a portfolio of 10-15 pieces. I have no idea what to do!
for my paintings should i mat them or just bring them in without any mat or anything, even though they don’t have clean lines?
I have a bunch of figure drawing sketches on 15×20 newsprint paper, how should i put them in? should i just put them in as single sheets?
This class is like portfolio-building and it has three sections: 2D (drawing and painting), 3D (sculpture), and then film and stuff.
I haven’t done any 3D or film or anything… so is that bad ?
it doesn’t determine weather I’m getting into the class, they just want to get an idea of me I guess.

Since the portfolio does not determine whether or not you get into the class, then the presentation will not mean as much. So, framing and matting is less critical.
What you DO want to provide is only the BEST of your best work. They don’t want to see how you’ve developed in your craft, but they WILL want to see how far you’ve gotten.
