Unusual old candle: where is it?

I inherited an unusual and want to sail for more information. Someone Is it useful? Sorry, you can not photograph the moment. It is very old. Imagine hundreds of individual strands twisted large candle in a round bulb an empty center (perhaps again sound contained another candle?). The blinds are cream, maybe once was white. An image in the role of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus surrounded by gold wax is on one side, it looks as if it were meant to be viewed from the front only. In theory, all the candles can ignite many strands, but obviously I did an old I want to do. I have family in Austria through which I inherited, but I do not know the name, where, how old, etc. Can anyone help?

Sounds as it could be Austrian or even in Spanish, but without seeing a bit of a shot in the dark. It also has a Victorian flavor of appointment, because they have things sophisticated decorations with wax. Sounds strange, but can be very elaborate candles European times. The document of the Virgin Mary was a popular decoration in many places and may well have been done to show a face. If there had been a decorative role other hand, you should be able to see pieces of wax that had been broken. If you can send a email photo to see. I am a curator of Decorative Arts in five years or more and have identified below the controls, but without seeing it, is a bit hard to say.
